What is Nat Elegance Designs?
Nat Elegance Designs officially arrived on the carnival mas costume scene in 2015. Based in London, Nat Elegance Designs creates reality from your carnival costume fantasy. With roots firmly grounded in Jamaica, Natalie is the talented creative force behind this London-based company. Building from her experience as a mas player, she knows first hand what makes a costume work so you can get on bad during carnival festivities. That knowledge is applied to every costume developed by Nat Elegance Designs. Nat Elegance also creates swimwear and re-customizes items.
Natalie has engaged in a lifelong love affair with carnival festivities and mas costumes. This passion drove her to transition from party reveller into designer. Soca is in Natalie’s heart and blood. Her friends and family knew how much she loved soca and participating in carnival. They encouraged and supported her in pursuing her dream of creating costumes. Through hard work, passion and guidance from the mas community, Nat Elegance Designs was born! Natalie brings her imaginative creations to life at the ultimate annual fete in London, the Notting Hill Carnival. Her individual costume design was featured in the 2015 carnival.

“I wanted ladies with curves, plus size women, and all ladies in general, to become more confident in their costumes. As ladies we are very body conscious. If the costume does not fit right, we won’t feel happy and confident. I myself was bullied before and those words were extremely hurtful at the time. Through designing and creating, those words now mean nothing to me. I’m here for one reason: to show that ladies with any body type can look stunning in carnival mas costumes.”

Talking from experience, I have worn Nat’s costumes before & as a curvy woman, the costumes always fit me perfectly, emphasised my shape in all the right places & made me feel sexy & confident.
I was able to dance my way through carnival without the costume moving & whilst keeping my dignity in tact 😉
Not only are the costumes made well but they are literally complete works of art & are absolutely stunning & maintain a high level of class.
