New York Fashion Week Infinite Exposure Fashion Show
#IEFW FALL 2023 COLLECTIONS
This is a nice low-key spot in the penthouse right next to the pier. I’m excited to see the clothes. This media pit feels a little less like a pit. Maybe I’m just feeling particularly bougie in this spot. This feels like a more intimate affair, like a group of friends put this together in their penthouse and I like that feeling.
This afternoon’s lineup is Munstruck Company, Emisha Designs, Lady Black Boutique, Chino Arte by Wayne and Moss Kouture.
Munstruck
African Latin
From the first couple of pieces I have to say, do not rush your looks just to make it to the runway. Overall I like the village mom look. The lighting is great for this show. From this piece I wanted more connection between the Latin and African design but maybe they’re more alike than I thought.
Emisha Designs
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t feel the first few looks of this collection because of the jeans. If you’re going to give a knit look, give the full outfit. But this designer did just that halfway through and I appreciate her talent. I want to see more looks like this on the runway. After I saw the designer accompany her collection I fell in love. She’s a whole vibe. I hope her confidence and talent takes her far.
Lady Black Boutique
African
This collection was sexy. It held my favorite look for FW so far. Meaning I need this in my closet and I’m looking it up after the show.
Intermission
This style of fashion show definitely gives ideas for future show productions. The vibe here is on compared to others or maybe it’s the culture. But I like being at this show. I really want to get back on my sewing machine but I’m appreciating all the designs gracing the runway and all the people who showed up for good vibes and fashion. The DJ is on point. This is how I want FW to feel. A quick shout out to Long Island Beauty School for being in the building and fixing up the makeup for the models. You can tell they are a strong team held up by a strong leader.
Chino Arte by Wayne
Male Designer
The show today started a bit, meh but finished strong. Very nice men’s looks. The gowns gave me prom and quinceanera vibes. Less colors just black and blue. I’m not super impressed but maybe I’m being a bit tougher today. Again, great men’s looks for the runway.
Moss Kouture
Luxury Streetwear
NWA and Kendrick Lamar inspired
The collection gave me Love and Hiphop vibes with looks you can catch at a hip hop star’s brunch, hey Jay Z, where are you at?
The entire time I was in the media pit I was sitting next to the show’s producer and didn’t even notice. How nice.
