Nori Amada is an influenced singer, songwriter and performer. Her career in music has flourished on-going for two years counting. Nori Amada is from Brooklyn New York and was raised in Georgia. She comes from Panamanian, Costa Rican, Bajan, and Jamaican descent. She is very ambitious and intelligent. She studied at Spelman College,which led to her degree in Chemistry and she continued her education at Georgia Institute of Technology.
With her love for young people, she devotes time to be a role model and a leader for our youth. Nori encourages and teaches them character building by giving them confidence to step out, become fearless and be bold thus allowing them to pursue and follow their dreams. She believes that the sky is the limit. As a child she used to be very shy. She remembers at the tender age of five, she would lock herself in her room and perform in front of her stuffed animals. Music has always been part of her life. She proclaims her love for music by expressing herself through her songs. One of her favorite artist is Selena Quintanilla-Perez along with Whitney Houston.
Nori Amada was first recognized when she performed her first song “Wickedest Winer” at the 2014 Dekalb International Food and Music Festival which was hosted by Commissioner Stan Watson. She was also recognized at the 2014 Multicultural Festival at Colony Square in Atlanta.
A few months later, Commissioner Stan Watson invited Nori Amada to appear on the Stan Watson show. Nori has dedicated a lot of time and hard work to release her first original single called “Losing It”, released in March 2016. Nori performed her new single ”Losing It” at the Inferno Carnival band launching for Atlanta Carnival. Nori Amada is currently working on releasing her second single a few months from now.
